The spectrum, the correlation and the mono-loss numbers all come from the same 2048-sample frame, so the picture can't show a wide-looking curve next to a reading that says otherwise. Three bands read correlation and mono-loss at a glance, in the same green-amber-red a level meter uses. Bass Check swaps in a frame four times longer, so the ten third-octave rows below 200 Hz are built from around seventy bins instead of eight — and it names the frequency causing the trouble and how many decibels a mono fold below it would give back, instead of leaving you to guess from a wobbling needle. It doesn't touch the audio. Everything here is read off the input, and the signal passes through untouched.

Bass Check
Trades update speed for resolution below 200 Hz. Ten third-octave rows instead of three wide bands, plus the worst offender and a mono-below recommendation with the dB it recovers.
What it does
- Mid/side spectrum, correlation and mono-loss computed from one shared frame — never three separate measurements that can disagree with each other
- Three-band readout (low, mid, high) shows correlation and how much level a mono fold would cost, colour-coded from safe to a fold that will lose it
- Width reads side level against mid as a percentage: 0 is mono, 100 is equal energy either side
- Balance meter shows the image sitting left or right, in dB, from the same sums the correlation is built on
- Bass Check takes a frame four times longer to resolve ten third-octave bands from 25 to 200 Hz, where a normal analyser only has eight blurred bins to work with
- Names the worst bass band by frequency and how much it loses on a mono fold, and recommends a crossover with the dB it would recover
- The frame length adapts to the host's sample rate, so the low band keeps the same resolution at 44.1 kHz and at 96 kHz
- Analysis runs off the audio thread — it reads the input and changes nothing in the signal path
